TRADITIONAL CABBAGE PICKLING

On Sunday – October 9, 2022, the Lublin Open Air Museum organizes the event “Traditional Cabbage Pickling”. It will take place from 1 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. near the farmstead from Teodorówka (the Roztocze village sector).

Traditional collective cabbage pickling will be presented by a ceremonial group from Kocudza. The housewives and farmers from Kocudza will show: peeling, chopping cabbage with cleavers, acidifying with rye flour, putting cabbage into the wooden barrels. The event will be accompanied by a folk band.

On this day, we also offer a curatorial guided tour of the exhibition “Atencja / Rocznik Wsi”, led by Monika Trypuz. The meeting will be entitled “Perebory in the past and at present in applied arts”. Please make your reservation by phone 81 533 85 13 ext. 36. The number of places is limited.

Tickets: PLN 20 / normal, PLN 10 / reduced (available at the ticket office, ticket machine or online).

After the event, a Mass will be celebrated at 3.00 p.m. in the church from Matczyn (the LittleTown Sector). If you are willing to participate in the Mass, please come to the Museum 15 minutes before it starts. You will be escorted from the museum reception to the church by an employee of the Museum.
