OPENING OF THE ORNITHOLOGIC PATH

This Tuesday, on the 1st of June at 1:30 PM in the reception building of the Lublin Open Air Village Museum, the inauguration of the ornithologic path will take place. The path was created on the basis on the locations of nests of 99 bird species living in the Lublin Open Air Village Museum, which one can meet wandering around the museum with a bit of luck.

Themed attractions are prepared as a part of the event. Our visitors can see the exhibition presenting contemporary bird species and selected museum collections of ours connected to ornithology. This exposition will be showcased in the school building from Bobrownik (Town sector). Our guest will also watch a movie about the richness of this place’s avifauna. The presentation will be in the firehouse from Bedlna (Podlasie sector). Kids corner with coloring books with birds will be prepared as well. Coloring books will await the youngest visitors under the haystacks in the Powiśle sector.

Visitors will receive a free “Guide of the ornithologic path in the Lublin Open Air Village Museum” in the reception.

The ornithologic path was created last year as a part of the realized by the Lublin Open Air Village Museum project called “Shaping of the pro-environmental approach among children and school students and protection of the natural resources of the Lublin Open Air Village Museum”.
