The Lublin Open Air Village Museum carries out the task Hands full of words. Adapting the form of conveying the content of the museum exhibition to the needs of deaf people under the program supporting museum activities. The project is financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

Task Hands full of words. Adapting the form of conveying the content of the museum exhibition to the needs of the deaf” is the modernization of 58 permanent museum exhibitions in such a way which enables people with hearing disorders to get to know the Lublin Open Air Village Museum. As a part of the task, the museum will be equipped with elements that will allow people with hearing dysfunctions to get to know the museum effectively and independently. Among the aids are: movies in Polish Sign Language, about 58 museum exhibitions available to the deaf through the QR code system and marking the area of the Museum with signposts and information boards. Modernization of 58 open-air exhibitions at the Lublin Open Air Village Museum will promote the idea of eliminating barriers that discriminate disabled people and their participation in the culture.
