WINTER IN THE CITY 2020
invitation

The Lublin Open Air Village Museum is once again involved in the Winter in the City event organized by the City of Lublin. As part of the event lasting during the winter holidays, from 13 to 26 January 2020. The Museum invites parents with children to workshops combined with sightseeing and a bonfire.

During the workshops, participants will learn what role the painted chest played and glue its cardboard model together, make elements of indulgenced jewellery: beads or bracelet – according to original pre-war patterns. In turn, the participants of the “Jaś and Hania help their parents” classes, will take up scenes from everyday life wearing costumes from the epoch. The staging is a kind of a living hornbook of everyday life at that time, a form of praise for caring for timeless values – children’s compassion and selfless help for parents and grandparents. Whereas the educational game “We Are Building Lublin” is intended to provide interactive learning of about 30 selected issues concerning the prehistory of the place where Lublin was built and the history of the City. The participants will enter the world of paratheatrical scenes played under the direction of the curators.

During the tour, the youngest will visit the interiors of the village and town exposition with themes of Christmas decoration.
