THE INVITATION
to the Arsenal Museum of Fortifications and Weapons in Zamość

Childhood should be a time of carefree fun.

The wartime displacement that took place 80 years ago in the Zamość region interrupted abruptly the childhood of thousands of innocent children. About 30,000 lives of the little ones were affected by displacement, a large part of which was destined for Germanization and went to German adoptive families. About 10,000 were deprived of their lives. By August 1943, 110,000 Polish people from 294 villages had been displaced and up to 13,000 German people settled on abandoned lands.

Until March 31, 2023, on the 80th anniversary of the expulsions of the people of the Zamość region, the exhibition “Children – the youngest victims of war” can be seen at the Arsenal Museum of Fortifications and Weapons in Zamość.

The exhibits from our Museum, including old and very meaningful toys, have been also displayed at the exhibition.

We strongly recommend visiting the Arsenal Museum of Fortifications and Weapons in Zamość and their new exhibition.
