Scholarships for folk artists and their students!

Narodowy Instytut Kultury i Dziedzictwa Wsi announces the following edition of the “Master  and Apprentice” Scholarship Program for folk artists. We are waiting for applications from folk artists who would like to share their knowledge and, also,  from those who love folk art. and would like to acquire new skills or improve their craft. We accept applications in three categories: artist, craftsman and handicraftsman.

The aim of the Program is to save local heritage and traditions and ensure the continuity of authentic traditional folk  art. An extremely important element of this process is the direct and intergenerational  transfer of traditional artistic and handicraft skills, as well as the related contents, values, practices and customs. This scholarship is intended to help in the implementation of this task.

As the result of completed educational projects, apprentices will make piece of handicraft, under  is under the supervision of a maste, which would show a high artistic level and proficiency in  traditional skills, as the goal of the Scholarship.

Projects to be implemented under the Scholarship Program will be selected by April 24, 2023 and announced on the Institute’s website.
