OLD WORKS AND ACTIVITIES IN PRE-WAR COUNTRYSIDE AND A TOWN – A family art competition

The Management and the Education Department of the Lublin Open Air Village Museum are pleased to invite families with children and the youth to participate in an art competition organised by the Education Department of the Lublin Open Air Village Museum. The participants’ task is to perform work related thematically to the selected object, space, exhibits, which should reflect the ambience of the exhibition of the Lublin Open Air Village Museum. The deadline for submitting entries is Sunday, 31 May 2020.PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION: shaping children and teenagers’ artistic preferences, developing their artistic skills and broadening their knowledge about the collections of the Lublin Open Air Village Museum, strengthening family ties and intergenerational integration through joint activities as well as supporting the Stay at Home campaign.

PARTICIPATION CONDITION: creating one work related to the subject of the competition, inspired by a selected exhibit or a set of exhibits from the collection of the Lublin Open Air Village Museum.

PARTICIPANTS: the competition is addressed to families with children and teenagers. The participants prepare their works at home and perform them in a team. The works will not be assessed according to age categories.

 

TECHNIQUE:

  • Work made on a flat surface (painting, graphics, computer graphics, drawing and others) in A3 format.

APPLICATIONS:

  • Competition entries must be sent by post or delivered in person to the Lublin Open Air Village Museum office by Sunday, 31 May 2020 only. The entries should be submitted at the museum reception hall from 9.00 to 16.45.
  • All entries should contain a “note” with basic information (placed on the back of the entry):

– authors (names of children and parents, surname and age of competition participants), phone number (for contact) and the title of the work·           Unsigned entries will not be qualified for the competition.·           It is necessary to enclose correctly filled in GDPR card (attachment 1 to be downloaded from the website of the Lublin Open Air Village Museum or in a printed version available at the museum reception desk), signed by the applicant (its absence will prevent participation in the competition and substantive evaluation of the submitted work).COMPETITION PROCEDURE, RESULTS:·           The results of the competition will be announced on 1 June 2020 on the website of the Lublin Open Air Village Museum and its social profiles (Facebook, Instagram).·           Awarded families will be informed about that by phone.

  • The winners of the competition will receive prizes.
  • The awarded and honoured works will be displayed in the form of an exhibition organized at the Lublin Open Air Village Museum.

These data will be used by the organiser to contact a participant of the competition. Participants’ personal data are collected solely for the purpose of the competition.
