FOLK CRAFT WORKSHOPS

We invite everyone who is interested (from the age of 8) to participate in folk crafts workshops related to the ceremonies of the Easter holidays. Workshops will be organized as part of the Easter Festival.

 

Workshop meetings will take place on April 13th (Saturday) in the school building from Bobrowniki.

 

We offer:

 

  1. Easter eggs ”scratching technique” (11:00 am – 12:30 pm) – participants will learn patterns of this type of Easter eggs typical for the Lublin region and will perform their own works by themselves, additionally they will hear the story and information related to the ritual arts.

 

  1. Easter eggs ”wax technique” (12:30 pm – 2:00 pm) – during the classes will be presented the tradition of decorating eggs with wax (Batik technique) and also will be told a brief history. Participants will make their own Easter eggs based on the so-called ”Lublin motifs” using traditional tools.

 

The fee for participation in the workshop is 10 PLN (the admission ticket to the Museum is also required).

The place on the list of participants is reserved after payment to the Museum’s account. The account number  will be sent to you after booking by e-mail.
