THE CELEBRATION OF THE 60th ANNIVERSARY
of the January Uprising outbreak
January 22, 2023

The Open Air Museum in  Lublin in partnership with the Historical Association of the Fifth Division of the National Army of the Lubelskie Voivodeship and the Association “Michalec 1864” invites everyone to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the outbreak of the January Uprising on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

Among the special guests of the event are the members of the Old Polish Army Association, the Association of Flags of the Castle in Zawieprzyce and the pupils of the Care and Educational Facility in Krasnystaw.

Schedule:

9.00 Cemetery at Lipowa street – lighting candles on the graves of insurgents

10.30 The Open Air Museum in Lublin (the little town sector)  – reconstruction of the insurgent camp

  • forging scythes
  • bullet casting
  • insurgent meals preparations
  • exhibition of the weapons from the January Uprising period

12.00 Mass in intention of Poland and the January insurgents

13.30 Reconstruction of the insurgent skirmish

15.00 End of the celebration
