HAYMAKING

This Sunday we would like to invite you to the meadows of the open air village in the Powiśle sector. There, from 12 PM to 3 PM, haymaking will take place. Reapers will show working with traditional tools. Visitors will see what grass mowing with the scythe or hay turning over with wooden rakes looked like. They will also hear the sound of the scythe peened in the anvil and the stories from the haymaking of the village inhabitants. Thanks to our museum workers, you will listen to the stories of the work taking place on the meadows and the cultural meaning of the haymaking and our museum collection connected with it.
